AQUAMATE ™

Zevulun Aquamate Connectors are excellent for medium power or signal use, or when weight and/or mechanical abuse are considerations. This rugged series is molded of high-insulation neoprene that may be mated while wet or underwater.  Aquamate connectors are also suitable for most non-magnetic requirements. Circular and Low Profile formats are available, as are our  Mini-Connector and Flat (FL) and FAWL designs. Male and female connectors are available in bulkhead and in-line configurations. Heat-treated beryllium copper sockets, gold plating, and stainless steel bodies are standard; options include water-blocking and locking sleeves of durable Delrin or heavy-duty Stainless Steel.

Standard Circular (SC): These connectors are the original "workhorse" of the Aquamate series. They are available in pin configurations from 2 to 12 contacts in both Bulkhead and In-Line (cable) configurations. There are 3 sizes of Aquamate Standard Circular (SC) connectors:

   Size "B" 6 to 10
   Size "C" 12

Heavy Duty (HD)

Mini-Connector (MC): This smaller connector is a more recent addition to the the Aquamate family. They utilize proven Aquamate technology to satisfy today's increasing demand for miniaturization.
Aquamate Mini-Connectors are available in pin configurations from 2 to 16 contacts in both Bulkhead and In-Line (cable) configurations. There are 2 sizes of Aquamate Mini-Connectors:
Another important advantage of the MC is that the bulkhead connector has an integral mating thread, so only one locking sleeve is required in most cases.

Flat (FL) and FAWL: Aquamate Flat (FL) and FAWL Connectors are for applications requiring a miniature, right-angle connector.

These wet-mateable handy connectors are available in two types:

FAWL : for full compatibility with other manufacturers' units.
FL :  incorporates a heavier ø 2 mm (5/64") pin for more robust duty and greater current load.

Low Profile (LP): This series is an excellent choice for applications requiring a low profile, right-angle connector (but for more rugged use and heavier current than the FL series). The Low Profile utilizes the same #11 pins as the Standard Circular and is available in pin configurations from 2 to 9 contacts. Various insert stem lengths are available for bulkhead connectors.

RUBBER-MOLDED

Zevulun Rubber Connectors are ideal for light-to-medium power or signal applications where weight and/or magnetic signature are considerations. They are made of a high insulation neoprene. They mate with each other in the "in-line" mode, and with bulkhead connectors in the Birns  Polymeric Series.   Zevulun Rubber Molded connectors are suitable for use in seawater with excellent corrosion resistance.   All contacts are gold-plated and sockets are made from heat-treated beryllium copper.
Typical part number examples follow (using the "G" size as an example, and where "X" denotes the number of contacts):

RMG-X-FS : Size G receptacle, with "X" sockets
RMG-X-MP
: Size G plug, with "X" pins

VMG-X-FS : Size G receptacle, with "X" pins
VMG-X-MP
: Size G plug, with "X" sockets

Note:  The “V” indicates an inverted connector.

The smallest in this series, the A size is available with one 16 AWG contact. The body of the connector is molded of special low carbon neoprene for improved electrical resistance. The connector body may be either female ("receptacle") or male ("plug"), and both receptacles and plugs may have either a pin or a socket.
All Size A connectors in this series are permanently molded to electrical cables and are, therefore, known as "cable connectors". They mate with each other, or with Size A bulkhead connectors in the Birns Polymeric A Size.
With a maximum outer diameter of a mere Ø9.1mm (Ø.36in), the A size is excellent for miniature applications.
These are the A-size connectors available:

The G size is an excellent and extremely popular choice for small-to-medium size requirements, and is available with 2 to 6 contacts.  It has both the regular “R” and inverted “V” styles.  For mating glass-reinforced bulkhead connectors see Birns Polymeric G Size connectors.

K Size: A popular choice for medium-to-large size requirements, the K size is available with 2 to 8 contacts. It is ideal for higher power applications, or for uses requiring extra physical sturdiness.  It has both the regular “R” and inverted “V” styles.  For mating glass-reinforced bulkhead connectors see Birns Polymeric K Size connectors.

METAL SHELL CONNECTORS

Zevulun Metal Shell Connectors are designed for heavy-duty use.

The 1500 and 2000 Series Connectors are fully compatible with Subconn and are available in pin configurations from 2-8 contacts; flange (FCR) or hex (BCR) shells. The mating cable for the 1500 Series is the Mini-Connector (MC) cable, and the mating cable for the 2000 Series is the Standard Circular (SC).

PENETRATOR SERIES

Zevulun Penetrators are used for unmanned underwater vehicles, decompression chambers, and electronic housings that do not require a detachable electrical connection.  These penetrators reliably transmit electrical power/signal through a pressure boundary without compromising the integrity of that boundary; Decrease the complexity of electrical systems by eliminating a connection point, the cable is permanently molded to the metal body of the penetrator shell; Reduce dependence on operator skill.  Users are offered a choice of stainless steel or titanium inserts and polyurethane or neoprene moldings.
